Silver film chain: In the domestic market, what is the market share of domestic OCA?

       High: There is no accurate statistical research at present, the total market share is currently relatively low, and we can reach 30% of the EPD market , Ordinary full-fit water drop screens account for about 20%, but the proportion of a series of new products such as blind hole screen OCA, vehicle display OCA, and folding screen OCA is still not high, which is the direction we will work hard in 2023.

Positive silver film chain: Raw materials and equipment are also one of the keys to OCA production. The raw materials used by Versatile are self-developed/imported/domestic raw materials Vendor supply?

       High cost: Our supply chain is basically in the country, all of which are researched and developed according to the requirements of FINESET, and a small part of raw materials are imported Outsourcing, most of them are handed over to domestic foundries for processing, almost all of which are domestic materials.

       If all materials are relied on abroad, the cost and delivery cycle will be greatly restricted. In terms of equipment, we acquired Hitachi Chemical, so the equipment mainly comes from abroad, and the main production lines are also purchased from abroad.

       High: Barriers are mainly reflected in patents, research and development, equipment, and customer verification processes. There is not much difference in the same application field. For example, ordinary full-fit OCA, Versatile, Mitsubishi, and 3M's products can all meet customer needs, and the gap is mainly reflected in some other new application scenarios. 3M is basically in an absolute leading position, while the rest of the manufacturers are basically in the verification and development stage.

Shiyin Film Chain: How do you view the problem that domestic OCA companies generally have low capacity utilization? At the same time, what are the key factors for in-depth cooperation with the downstream?

  For the OCA industry, having a complete industrial chain does not mean that qualified products can be produced, it mainly depends on the quality and performance of the product.

       Whether OCA products can be used on the client side is still very demanding. Customers are willing to use it, and the stability and performance of the product must satisfy customers to have more opportunities.

Shiyin Film Chain: How do you view the current domestic competition pattern? Compared with other companies, what is the core advantage of Versatile?

       Expensive: OCA is a product that needs to invest a lot of time and resources in research and development, and the cost is relatively high. Enterprises need to be really willing to invest Focusing on making products is not just making gimmicks for publicity every day. In the future, we will do a solid job in developing our own products and rely on products to speak. Then go to realize the route of domestic substitution.

       OCA has very high requirements for research and development. Products are more difficult. The iteration and development speed of the display is too fast, so a lot of research and development resources must be invested in it. Keeping up with the technical route of end customers, on the basis of ensuring stable mass production of mature products, only when new products can keep up can we be able to obtain some orders with relatively high profits.

Silver Film Chain: How do you view the long verification cycle required for OCA products to enter the supply chain?

   Two years or more, if you already have a mature product before entering a new application, and now you want to launch a new product for customer verification, it basically takes a year.

       According to the needs of customers, if you want to replace the existing mature products, then in terms of your price and service, A higher cost needs to be paid, and the time required for replacement will be correspondingly longer, because the supply on the market is relatively sufficient.

       But in some new application areas, such as e-books, folding screen applications, etc., these products do not have sufficient competition , the market is still relatively out of stock, or downstream manufacturers have not finalized the structure of the screen, and need to cooperate with OCA manufacturers for joint research and development. The verification time here depends on the degree of cooperation of downstream customers.

Positive Silver Film Chain: In which direction will FINESET focus on the OCA field in the future?

       High: I think the key layout direction is not determined by us or our peers, but should be adjusted according to market changes . At present, we are more optimistic about the vehicle-mounted OCA and OCA for OLED, and there should be larger growth points in the future.
  Huaxing, Tianma, etc. are increasing OLED-related production capacity, so next year should be a big year for domestic OLED screens. At the same time, the increase in OLED screens will also drive the growing demand for OCA for OLEDs.
